SCHWING Stetter launches new Concrete Pump SP 1400

SCHWING Stetter India Pvt Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of SCHWING Gmbh, Germany, and a leading player in the Indian Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) equipment industry, has launched theSP 1400, the latest concrete pump in the SCHWING Global range of products. This is the fourth category of pump to join SCHWING Stetter's range of concrete pumps in India, who also manufactures the BP 350 range, BP 1800 range and BP 2800 range of concrete pumps for the Indian market. SP 1400 is ideal for the construction of buildings of vertical reach upto 30 floors. Designed and manufactured according to the most stringent international testing standards, the SP 1400 is a rock valve pump with a fast switching circuit with double cylinders. The pump is designed with the latest hydraulic components, thereby ensuring operational reliability and extended operational life for the product. A central bank of grease nipples makes the maintenance process very simple. Remote control facilities will be a standard feature of the pump, which can operate both on the piston side and the rod side. This results in a maximum concrete output of 52 cubic metres per hour, which can approximately fill concrete for the 5000 sq.ft of floor construction. A 4-cylinder engine makes the SP1400 highly fuel-efficient.

Speaking at the launch of SP 1400 Concrete Pump, Mr. Anand Sundaresan, Managing Director, SCHWING Stetter India Pvt. Ltd., said, "With latest technologies, planning and development, we at SCHWING Stetter, have carved a valuable niche for our products across the globe. We believe in constantly upgrading our products and services, based on our in-depth understanding of our clients' needs. It gives us great pleasure to thus introduce the SP 1400 at this point, which will complete our concrete pump product range, along with the products we already have. The SP 1400 is also specifically designed to meet the requirements of companies in the hiring segment, as well as companies in the commercial ready mix concrete business."

Also speaking at the launch, Mr. V.G. Sakthikumar, Chief Operating Officer, SCHWING Stetter India Pvt. Ltd., said, "Our commitment to our customers has always been the reason for our success. The SP1400 is designed so as to pump concrete at greater heights and faster speed. It also scores highly on fuel-efficiency, thereby bringing down the operating costs for our customers substantially, with the use of this pump. Also, the SP 1400 has a long service life. High reliability, low operating costs and, like any SCHWING Concrete Pump, high resale value are key features of the SP 1400, which will enable it to do really well in the Indian market."

The concrete pump is already being tested locally and has received extremely positive feedback from the customers who have tried the services of the product. The product is being launched for the first time across the globe and will be manufactured in India first, after which the Group will manufacture this model in USA and China.

Interview with Mr. R. S. Raghavan, M.D. of PROMAN INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES PVT LTD

PROMAN INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES PVT LTD was formed in 2001 by a group of professionals having extensive experience in Crushing and Screening. Here, the Managing Director of PROMAN, R. S. Raghavan, highlights some key areas in the business of crushing.

At PROMAN Infrastructure Services Pvt Ltd we manufacture and supply world class crushing and screening equipment. These include a complete range like PROMAN-LIPPMANN jaw crushers, PROcone – Cone crushers, PROMAN-REMco Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) Crushers, PROMAN-ORTNER sand washing systems, PROMAN-Finedoor screens and feeders. PROMAN is based out of Bangalore, India and offers options for mobile units as well.

PROMAN offers great collaborations with world leaders in crushing and screening – like our PROMAN-REMco Vertical Shaft Impact Crushers (with REMco of USA), PROMAN-Finedoor Screens (with Finedoor of UK), PROMAN-ORTNER (with Aggregates of USA). In conjunction with this we have our technology of PROMAN-LIPPMANN jaw crushers (with Lippmann of USA) and the PROcone cone crushers. Our equipment are rugged, versatile and produce great tonnage, shape and quality at the same time. To top it all, we offer our mobile range in the name of PROMO VSI, PROMO Screens, PROMO Jaw and PROMO cones as well.

PROMAN can cater to world class standards in terms of aggregate and sand specifications to be met by various customers.

Demand for aggregates in India
The demand for aggregates continues to remain strong – more importantly the demand for quality aggregates with significance on tonnage is perhaps stronger ! What PROMAN can offer is exactly this quality and tonnage at a price very acceptable to the customer! PROMAN has a whole range of equipment in collaboration with world class crushing and screening equipment companies – with such collaborations, PROMAN offers varied solutions to customers to meet their specific requirements. On the other hand, we also offer single equipment alongside turnkey crushing solutions and for those looking for mobile crushing options, we have that too!

Maintenance and repairs
The key to taking care of this is by having well-trained service personnel within our own teams and by also
training the operators at the site of the customers first hand – both of which PROMAN is extremely committed about. At PROMAN, any breakdown at site is a problem that our personnel take up personally and attend to immediately. To make things somewhat easier, we also stock fast moving wear parts in different regions in India, and reduce downtime of machinery by periodical inspections as well.

Since PROMAN is a manufacturer of most of the components, we are able to offer a very low operating cost per tonne of crushed product.

Costing
PROMAN is far more affordable than imported machinery of a similar sort. Finance is the mainstay of the equipment business, without doubt – and with infrastructure projects coming up as fast as they are right now, it is only a matter of time, before lending comes back to its normalcy – these are times of precaution because of various consequences around the world, but the only way from here is forward!

Geographic presence in India
PROMAN has its presence largely in the southern parts of India and in the Western and northern regions as well

Reaction to the Central and State policies
It’s certainly a wait-and-watch situation – but some amount of respite has come about from the reduction in excise duty by about 4%. Nonetheless, as long as infrastructure is the focus of our government – other policies and impetus to the equipment industry will certainly follow.

Emerging trends and innovations
Keeping in mind the various policies to reduce global warming, it is important to understand that artificial sand is the way to go! Sand mining is already banned in one or two states in India, and it is only a matter of time that other states as well wake up to the reality and wisdom in this! Dust collectors used in the kind of machinery that PROMAN produces to make aggregate and sand, also help control pollution. At PROMAN, we are committed to a more social cause of preserving the earth for future generations to come!

PROMAN has a market share and goodwill in terms of the esteem that we command on the quality and tonnage of the aggregate or sand production – our aim and motto at PROMAN has always been-To provide innovative crushing solutions at the lowest cost per tonne!
