PROMAN INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES PVT LTD was formed in 2001 by a group of professionals having extensive experience in Crushing and Screening. Here, the Managing Director of PROMAN, R. S. Raghavan, highlights some key areas in the business of crushing.

At PROMAN Infrastructure Services Pvt Ltd we manufacture and supply world class crushing and screening equipment. These include a complete range like PROMAN-LIPPMANN jaw crushers, PROcone – Cone crushers, PROMAN-REMco Vertical Shaft Impact (VSI) Crushers, PROMAN-ORTNER sand washing systems, PROMAN-Finedoor screens and feeders. PROMAN is based out of Bangalore, India and offers options for mobile units as well.

PROMAN offers great collaborations with world leaders in crushing and screening – like our PROMAN-REMco Vertical Shaft Impact Crushers (with REMco of USA), PROMAN-Finedoor Screens (with Finedoor of UK), PROMAN-ORTNER (with Aggregates of USA). In conjunction with this we have our technology of PROMAN-LIPPMANN jaw crushers (with Lippmann of USA) and the PROcone cone crushers. Our equipment are rugged, versatile and produce great tonnage, shape and quality at the same time. To top it all, we offer our mobile range in the name of PROMO VSI, PROMO Screens, PROMO Jaw and PROMO cones as well.

Demand for aggregates in India
The demand for aggregates continues to remain strong – more importantly the demand for quality aggregates with significance on tonnage is perhaps stronger ! What PROMAN can offer is exactly this quality and tonnage at a price very acceptable to the customer! PROMAN has a whole range of equipment in collaboration with world class crushing and screening equipment companies – with such collaborations, PROMAN offers varied solutions to customers to meet their specific requirements. On the other hand, we also offer single equipment alongside turnkey crushing solutions and for those looking for mobile crushing options, we have that too!

Maintenance and repairs
The key to taking care of this is by having well-trained service personnel within our own teams and by also
training the operators at the site of the customers first hand – both of which PROMAN is extremely committed about. At PROMAN, any breakdown at site is a problem that our personnel take up personally and attend to immediately. To make things somewhat easier, we also stock fast moving wear parts in different regions in India, and reduce downtime of machinery by periodical inspections as well.

Since PROMAN is a manufacturer of most of the components, we are able to offer a very low operating cost per tonne of crushed product.

Costing
PROMAN is far more affordable than imported machinery of a similar sort. Finance is the mainstay of the equipment business, without doubt – and with infrastructure projects coming up as fast as they are right now, it is only a matter of time, before lending comes back to its normalcy – these are times of precaution because of various consequences around the world, but the only way from here is forward!

Reaction to the Central and State policies
It’s certainly a wait-and-watch situation – but some amount of respite has come about from the reduction in excise duty by about 4%. Nonetheless, as long as infrastructure is the focus of our government – other policies and impetus to the equipment industry will certainly follow.

Emerging trends and innovations
Keeping in mind the various policies to reduce global warming, it is important to understand that artificial sand is the way to go! Sand mining is already banned in one or two states in India, and it is only a matter of time that other states as well wake up to the reality and wisdom in this! Dust collectors used in the kind of machinery that PROMAN produces to make aggregate and sand, also help control pollution.
